VT Transaction+

VT Transaction+ is a fully featured desktop accounting and bookkeeping software package for Windows. VT Transaction+ is compatible with Windows 2000 or later, including Windows 11. However, if you use the Making Tax Digital (for VAT and Income Tax), Windows 10 or later is required.

VT Transaction+ can be used in a wide range of circumstances from small incomplete-records jobs to companies with hundreds of thousands of transactions.

VT Transaction+ has an integrated ledger structure that includes a cashbook, customer and suppliers ledgers and is based on double-entry accounting principles. VT Transaction+ can contain an unlimited number of accounts and transactions.

VT Transaction+ is flexible and easy to use, data entry is very fast and transactions and entries can be easily edited.

To start using VT Transaction+, follow the steps in Quick start.

VT Cash Book

VT Cash Book is included in the VT Transaction+ package. It is a highly simplified version of VT Transaction+. In particular, you cannot maintain customer and suppliers ledgers using VT Cash Book. It is a cash book program for recording bank/cash receipts and payments and includes a bank reconciliation function. Invoice and journal transactions cannot be entered. The contents of the data files used by VT Transaction+ and VT Cash Book are identical and the data files can be opened interchangeably by either application.

VT Cash Book is free except that a license for VT Transaction+ or VT Accounts is required to create and submit VAT returns or quarterly updates for Making Tax Digital.

VT Final Accounts

A companion product, VT Final Accounts, produces statutory accounts in Microsoft Excel* templates from a trial balance.

The accounts are professionally formatted and can be printed to a PDF file and filed electronically with Companies House in a few easy steps.

VT Final Accounts also produces accounts for unincorporated businesses.

VT Final Accounts integrates seamlessly with VT Transaction+ and VT Cash Book, however you do not have to use VT Transaction+ or VT Cash Book to use VT Final Accounts, as you can import any trial balance into VT Final Accounts.

A trial balance can be brought into VT Final Accounts in various ways:

•importing from a CSV or text file

•entering manually

•linking to trial balance in a VT Transaction+ or VT Cash Book file.

VT Final Accounts can access VT Transaction+ and VT Cash Book files directly, without the need for the respective application to be open.

VT Final Accounts is not included in the VT Transaction+ package, and requires a subscription to the VT Accounts Suite. To start using VT Final accounts, follow the steps in VT Final Accounts Quick Start.

*Requires the 32-bit desktop version of Microsoft Excel/Office/365.
