Windows: 2000 or later (both 32/64-bit Windows are compatible). Windows 10/11 is required if using Making Tax Digital (MTD).
Please note:
You do not need Microsoft Excel unless you are using the VT MTD for Excel add-in; see below.
Windows 10/11: Both 32/64-bit Windows are compatible.
Microsoft Excel: 32-bit desktop version. Excel 365(1) or Excel 2016 or later (including Excel 2024) is recommended.

Please note (only for users who use VT MTD for Excel):
64-bit Excel is not compatible. If you use 64-bit Excel, you can reinstall the 32-bit version of Office/365.
Excel 2007 is not compatible.
ARM based PCs are generally not compatible, as 32-bit Excel cannot be installed on certain ARM based PCs.
