Introduction
VT Transaction+ is a complete re-write and enhanced version of the existing VT Transaction. The software is now complete, but the help topics and user guide are not yet available (expected by December 2008).
At the bottom of this page there is a link to download the pre-release version of the software free of charge. This version has already been thoroughly tested by VT Software and its use is recommended. Use of the software is governed by VT Software's standard terms and conditions. Support will only be provided to current VT subscribers. VT Transaction+ does not overwrite the old VT Transaction. Both the old and the new programs can be used at the same time.
When VT Transaction+ is officially released it will be included on the VT Accounts CD and sent to subscribers. Any person who purchased the client edition of the old VT Transaction after 1 July 2006 will be entitled to a free upgrade.

Downloading
The programs have new file names (TranPlus.exe and CashBook.exe instead of Transact.exe). The data files have new extensions (.vtr or .vcb instead of .tra). Hence the new and old versions can exist side by side without interfering with each other on the same PC
To generate a .vtr or .vcb file from a .tra file, simply open the .tra file using the Open Company command in VT Transaction+ or VT Cash Book. Alternatively, right mouse click on the .tra file in My Computer/Windows Explorer and choose Open With VT Transaction+ or Open With VT Cash Book
VT Transaction+ and VT Cash Book files CANNOT be converted back to .tra files
If you have VT Final Accounts installed, the download installs an enhanced version of the VT Final Accounts add-in (but not templates) that included the VT Books features. Please note that the add-in is no longer compatible with Excel 95
Click here to download and install the latest version of VT Transaction+ and VT Cash Book. Choose Run when prompted (or Open in older browsers). Please close all programs except your web browser before downloading. This version will not work after 31 March 2009.
