Installing in Windows 2003 Server

The VT Accounts and VT Transaction+ set up programs may crash very near the end of the set up procedure. If this happens, all the files will have been installed but you will need to do the following:

• Register all the dll's and ocx's by running the batch file vtreg.bat - when running this file you will get a confirmation message for each file registered. Please check that none say the file was not registered. Please note that earlier versions of the VT Accounts May 2007 CD do not install or require SNFObjects.dll, VTMaps.dll and PDFCreatorPilot3.dll

• The Start menu and desktop shortcuts will not have been created (new installations only). Manually create the required shortcuts to C:\Transact\Transact.exe and C:\Program Files\VT Transaction\TranPlus.exe

• If you are newly installing the VT Accounts CD, the VT Final Accounts add-ins need to be manually ticked in the Add-Ins dialog in Excel. See page 3 of the user guide. If the set up program had run to the end, you would have received on-screen instructions for this
