Open Company command initially looks at desktop folder

The October 2007 VT Accounts CD includes an option to create a desktop shortcut to VT Transaction.

If you start VT Transaction using this shortcut, the New Company and Open Company commands initially look at the Desktop folder (the normal default is C:\Transact). This gives the impression that existing files cannot be found.

To fix this:

• Right mouse click on the shortcut icon and choose the Properties command from the bottom of the popup menu. This displays the Properties dialog (see below for a picture)
• In the Properties dialog, type C:\Transact in the 'Start in' box and click OK

This fault does not occur if you start VT Transaction by clicking Start|All Programs|VT|VT Transaction.

This fault does not occur in Windows Vista.
