Printing problems

VT Transaction is a relatively old 16 bit application written in Microsoft Visual Basic 3. It may therefore not print correctly when other more modern applications do.

Problems are rare, but if you do have a problem try the following:

• Use VT Transaction+ instead

• If you have Spyware Doctor installed (Jan 06 version or later), double click on its icon on the bottom left of your screen and disable on guard protection. You can turn it back on again after printing. For more info, see Spyware Doctor stops VT Transaction printing

• If you have a Hewlett Packard printer use the Postscript (PS) driver if there is one available instead of the default PCL driver

• Connect the printer to your PC with a parallel cable instead of a USB cable if possible

• If the printer is connected to another PC on your network, make sure the share name of the printer does not include a space

• If the printer is connected to another PC on your network, see if it works connected directly to your PC

In the vast majority of cases the above advice will resolve the problem. In very rare cases VT Transaction may not be compatible with your printer.
