ACCA Accountants report
The new ACCA report, based on
ACCA technical factsheet 163 is now an option in the Workbook Properties
dialog (second button on the VT toolbar). The old ACCA report based on technical
factsheet 32 is still an option (it is simply called Accountants report
in the Workbook Properties dialog).
The new ACCA report is only available for workbooks created in the March 2010 edition. However, it is possible to import all the data from an earlier workbook into a new one. More info...
Company number
The company number is now shown on the directors' report (full accounts) and
balance sheet (abbreviated accounts) as well as the front cover. Companies
House unintentionally created this requirement when the registrars rules
were drafted under the Companies Act 2006. You cannot find this rule on the main
part of the Companies House web site. Also, Companies House do not reject
accounts that do not follow this rule. That is presumably because they never
intended to change the requirements in the first place! Some still argue that
placing the number on the cover sheet is sufficient.

Audit report in the abbreviated accounts for a
small company under the Companies Act 2006
This report is now shown as being signed by the senior statutory auditor. This
was a mistake
in the March 2009 edition.
