FastTax: Exporting the self employment profit and loss account and balance sheet from VT

Note: FastTax introduced the import facility in September 2006.

In VT:

• If exporting from Excel, ensure that VT Data Export is ticked in the Add-Ins dialog (Tools menu of Excel)

• Ensure that Standard Name Format - Clipboard Method option is chosen in the Export Method dialog (Tax Data menu of VT Transaction or VT Data Export menu in Excel)

• Choose the Send To Tax Package command

In FastTax:

• Click the Import button

• Choose the Import SNF Data (text file) command

• Click on the pink box that appears and choose the Paste command from the Edit menu of FastTax
