Corrupted files

The first indication that a file is corrupted is likely be to be an error message such as Bad record number or Subscript out of range or other unusual behaviour.

You can check if a file is corrupted by choosing the Check For Errors command from the File menu of VT Transaction.

Files can become corrupted because of a PC or network failure or sudden shutdown of your PC. However, the vast majority of users never get a corrupted file.

In the April 2005 edition or later of VT Transaction, corrupted files can be repaired by choosing the Repair command from the File menu of VT Transaction.
