How to copy a file in Windows

• Navigate to the file in My Computer by successively double clicking (to open My Computer, click Start and then click My Computer)

• Select the file by clicking on it once

• In the File and Folder Tasks pane on the left-hand side of the window, click on Copy this file. This then displays a dialog for selecting the destination location. This dialog is self explanatory. If you do not have a File and Folder Tasks pane, click here for alternative instructions

Notes

By default, VT Transaction files are stored in the Transact folder on the C drive (to find this folder, click Start, click My Computer, double click on Local disk C and then double click on the Transact folder).

You cannot open a VT Transaction file directly from a CD. You must copy it back first.

You can open a VT Transaction file directly by double clicking on it in a My Computer window. There is no need to go via the Open Company dialog in VT Transaction
