Companies Act 2006

The provisions in the Companies Act 2006 relating to the form and content of company accounts apply to accounting periods beginning on or after 6 April 2008. Accounts for periods before that are still prepared under the Companies Act 1985. Hence the new provisions will first apply to years ending 5 April 2009 or later (unless a company has changed its year-end and has a shorter period).

A new edition of VT Accounts containing the Companies Act 2006 changes and other improvements is available for downloading. All current subscribers have been emailed with an installation key for this download. If we do not have your email address, please email info@vtsoftware.co.uk and include your name, address and customer number (your customer number can be found on your last invoice or renewal notice). An installation key will then be emailed to you.
